BIOGRAPHY
Sherman Bray is an associate attorney at Cobb Martinez Woodward PLLC, where his practice focuses on civil litigation, including the defense of transportation companies, commercial motor carriers, and commercial drivers.
Sherman brings a unique perspective to his legal practice. Prior to his journey to becoming a lawyer, he worked in multiple areas of the healthcare industry. He directed medical billing operations for a hospitalist practice, working with medical coding, Medicare and HIPAA compliance, insurers, and healthcare billing matters. He also previously worked as a medical assistant in a Family Practice clinic. This experience provides Sherman with a practical understanding of medical records, treatment, healthcare billing, and the medical issues frequently involved in personal injury litigation.
Sherman earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law in May 2024 and his Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with concentrations in Biology, Psychology, and Health Promotion from the University of North Texas in December 2009.
During law school, he served as the founding Vice President of the Intellectual Property Society. He also volunteered with the Joyce Ann Brown Innocence Clinic, where he researched forensic science issues and evaluated innocence claims.
