Shivani Patel

Shivani Patel defends a range of clients in professional liability litigation, including accounting and legal malpractice claims. She also supports the firm’s work in the defense of premises and products liability claims and employment cases. In this capacity, she conducts extensive research of the underlying claims, and reviews and prepares associated documents in advance of hearings, arbitrations, and trials. 

Prior to joining Cobb Martinez Woodward, Shivani practiced at another Dallas-area firm where she gained valuable experience in a variety of litigation matters. 

Shivani earned her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2020. During law school, she served as the Executive Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property and as President of the Women’s Law Students Association, as well as volunteering as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate. Prior to law school, she received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Georgia.
