BIOGRAPHY

Andy Cox’s practice is primarily devoted to general civil litigation matters. He has experience handling all aspects of civil litigation matters from inception to final judgment and appeal in a wide variety of practice areas, including the defense of professional malpractice cases, the defense of electric line contact and other serious personal injury cases, the defense of toxic tort cases, the defense of property damage cases, the prosecution and defense of business and commercial disputes, the defense of employment discrimination and retaliation suits, and eminent domain cases. He has represented plaintiffs as well as defendants in state and federal court and in arbitration proceedings. He has written appellate briefs filed in state and federal courts and has been honored to participate in oral argument before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.

In addition to his civil litigation practice, Andy has counseled clients in a range of non-litigation matters, including partner, member, and shareholder agreements, purchase and sale agreements, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements, other business agreements, leases, easements, mechanic’s liens, and probate matters, among other transactional matters. Andy has also been honored to serve as general business counsel to a number of small businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
