Sara Witmeyer’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, professional liability defense, employment disputes, and real estate litigation.  She represents businesses and professionals in state and federal court and is licensed in both Florida and Texas.  With a diverse litigation background, Sara is detail-oriented and devoted to assisting clients with their legal needs.

EXPERIENCE

Sara began her legal career as a staff attorney to the Honorable Harry Lee Anstead at the Supreme Court of Florida and as a central staff attorney at Florida’s First District Court of Appeal, where she honed her skills of legal analysis and writing.  Before moving to Texas, Sara gained valuable experience in the litigation department of a national law firm, handling litigation matters in federal and state court for businesses, financial institutions, lenders, title insurance underwriters, and telecommunications companies.
 

 Representative Engagements:

  • Successfully enforced non-solicitation agreements and confidentiality agreements and obtained injunctive relief for business clients, which prevented former employees from soliciting businesses’ clients and using their confidential information
  • Succeeded in nonsuiting a case involving claims of fraud and conspiracy in business dispute, which was withdrawn after motion for summary judgment was filed
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of lenders in contested commercial and consumer foreclosures
  • Handled defense of hundreds of cases involving claims under consumer protection statutes
